The Kentucky Oaks

We are looking over a nice full field to contest this year's edition of the Oaks. The deserving favorite and standout among this group is Rags to Riches. She has had only 4 career starts winning 3 of them. She is bred to love distance and her running style suites today's race distance perfectly. She seems to be getting better with every race and although she hasn't raced in about 55 days she has been working very well over Polytrack surfaces which should add a lot of conditioning. There are several horses in here with a shot in the Exacta at a square price such as Sealy Hill. Very lightly raced winning 3 of 5 starts and it looks as though she will also love today's race distance. High Again won the Bonnie Miss in Florida then shipped to Keenland and couldn't keep her speed going over Polytrack so today she figures to have a better chance to be leading past the 1/8th pole. The same logic dictates for Mistical Plan who won at FG in a Grade II before shipping to Keenland where she just couldn't keep it going over Polytrack. Octave deserves respect after finishing strongly last time out. However she has more 2nd place finishes than wins and her price will be very low on the board so it's worth a shot trying to beat her out of the Exacta.

I am going to be looking at the board before deciding which Exacta's to lean on and in fact I might just Box a few of these contenders I have mentioned in Exacta's if the prices are right.
