Live Blog Race 5

My Selections:
Magic Lion - Global Force - Buddy's Saint

Labels:

Live Blog Race 4

Selections: Wilde Entry - Strong Commitment - Little Alex

Wild Entry has turned in some very good efforts but yet to score a win. Today he shouldn't have any excuses.

Live Blog Race 3

My Selections:

R Clear Victory - Future Prospect - Dr. DFC

Future Prospect is the main speed, turned in 6 consecutive big efforts and figures to be odds-on. He got beat 2 back by a speedy R Clear Victory. Victory looked to bounce last time out and today I look for a rebound.

Live Blog for Belmont Park -Race 1

It's Saturday, September 26, 2009 and the team at NickBorg.com is coming to you Live

Belmont listed as Fast and Firm.

There are several early scratches however it doesn't appear that any of the early scratches are coming out of any projected early pace scenarios so the way each race was shaped up to be run is still in tact.

Each surface should play faster than yesterday especially since it was very cool overnight.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Race 1: My top selections are:

I'llthinkofsumthin - Dressmaker - French Song

I am going to press Dressmaker in Doubles with in

Race 2 Solutionfinders and Joe D.

Live Blog Trial Run

Today we are going to have a trial run for our Live Blog tomorrow. So here we will go live for Race 1 on Friday's card at Belmont.

Race 1

I find this race to be as wide open a race as possible. It seems that everyone has a chance.

My top three choices are Dancing Daisey - Defarge - Bankers Buy

Right now Dancing Daisey is on line at 17-1 so I am using her top and bottom in Exacta's with both Defarge and Banker's Buy

Saturday's Late Pick-4 at Belmont

How about some late Pick-4 action at Belmont!

Race 7 - Let's start with a single. Stroll for Acure gets Desormeaux for Mott and has turned in several good efforts. Really should beat this field home.

Race 8 - We'll use two in here. The speed on the rail is Discreetly Mine and seems to have a lot of talent. D'Funnybone could be a monster.

Race 9 - We'll spread in here and hopefully catch a price. Awesome Maria can finish and has the right style. Speighful Lady finished very well over deep surface. Worstcasescenario has talent but also has a tough post.

Race 10 - The main two are Double Domino with Desearmoux who could be set to run his best career race right now and Scientist who ran well against perhaps tougher than he is facing today in his last two starts.

1 by 2 by 3 by 2 = $12 for a half a share.

Rachel Who?

Just bringing up Rachel Alexandra's name you are sure to get some type of reaction.

However I really can't see why Rachel should be or could be tied to anything negative.

She put together a great 3-year-old campaign winning her last 9 consecutive races.

She has an owner that has guts therefore Rachel was allowed to take on males and older males and beat them all.

Rachel became a star attraction and surely was the star of this summer's racing.

While we all watched Rachel evolve into a great Filly, she also transcended the entire racing industry.

In the end just watching Rachel run you get the sense that you are watching something great. She gives off a kind of aura where you have to feel that you are watching something special.

Rachel Alexandra doing well

It is reported that Rachel Alexandra has come out of her Woodward battle in good order. "A little tired as she is lying down a lot, which is a bit more than her usual routine", stated her trainer.

Rachel's connections are starting to mull over her next steps and of course they will be and are very patient with her.

My own opinion is that she has done more than enough. She has proven her greatness in so many ways and feel she deserves a long winter's rest.

Bring her back fresh and fit for 2010!
